Your plant growth has really come along from that last set of photos, so trout out is a good thing, my water temps are slowly climbing up to 22 yesterday.
Cod in is also a good thing, any pics, where'd you get em and what size?

I have not seen the fish take any food yet But I do drop a pinch of food in there every day..

the tank they are in is going green, So I have to check the reading's..
They are in a 5% salt mix.. same level as they came from.

Stop feeding until the tank clears I reckon there's some unbeaten food there

Thanks again Juergen for making the trip to get the cod.

Mine seem to be doing well. While it is difficult to see if they are actually eating, they certainly become very active around the food as it settles on the bottom. I'm feeding Barra pellet crumbs. I put 12 fingerlings in on Sunday and I was able to count all 12 this morning. I'll put some brine shrimp in tommorrow and see how they go.

Unable to feed the fish today because of the tomato jungle blocking my way. A major thinning of the GB's resulted in more foliage coming out than was left.

I also erected a climbing frame. Hopefully the tomatos now grow up rather than out and down.

Only a few trout left now. I managed to get them past the few hot days we've had so far. The water temp reached 26c on one of those days and you could see the fish starting to suffer. Temp has been below 20 for the last week so all is well. Current temp is 15. Murray Cod are all still alive. They have been in the system for 3 weeks.

Sorry for the quality of photo below. Last of the trout

That a great looking system fordy, and making sensational use of that narrow space! Looks like another success story.

It wouldn't have won the trout competition. Angle of the photo is a bit misleading, although it is probably too big for one person to eat. Considering I only put them in in mid July and the system has only been running since May I'm more than pleased with the result.

Next year I'll get them in earlier.

The murray cod are doing well (hard to get a good photo of the little buggers). They are feeding well on both ground barra pellets and frozen blood worms. Counted all 12 this morning. Been in the system for 4 weeks and I'm starting to see some growth.

Happy to welcome anyone to look at my system if you're in the area (Beaumaris Victoria). Just pm me to arrange.

:thumbright: Anything plate size and larger is good enough for me...and the kids...and the wife.

Looks like a nice size meal, anyway.

The best of a difficult photo to capture. This is one of the 12 murray cod fingerlings I put in 4 weeks ago. All are still alive which suggests they must be eating something. Currently I'm feeding frozen blood worms every second day, and ground up barra pellets every other day.

In other news (don't tell the wife) I am just about to expand on my system. Keeping with the current theme it will be incorporated into and alongside the existing deck. I have purchased an IBC for an additional fish tank and at this stage will be just adding 1 additional grow bed of 250lt. The biggest issues will be removing 20% of the planted hedge along the side fence. Progress photos to come

I'll be really interested to see how your murray cod go. Please keep us posted on their growth. If I rememeber correctly, Rupe told me they grow around the same rate as silvers, which makes them an attractive alternative for me I guess.

I'm trying to get my large system finished, but the baby just wants to be held at the moment, so progress is slow.

Space for the new system has been approved and the existing plants are starting to come out. Between the deck and the fence is 1.2m. Between the pavers and the tree is 1m. Some of the tree has gone now. The space is perfect for an IBC

Picked up the IBC for $60 on ebay. Nice and clean and the metal frame has no sign of rust.

The system will need the fit with the theme of the garden. It will double as an extra seat when finished and hopefully I can link the plumbing with the other system. It will be postitioned in the lower right of the photo below.
