Like all previous, sorry to hear about the loss.

Don't hold back, go into the offices of these companies and demand a result. Take in your photos and except nothing less than compensation at market rate.

My experiences and recent wall structure built around my house has prevented these guys from wandering onto my property to do a meter reading. Plus a big dog behind the fence has also made it impossible to enter. The solution to this has been that we now do our own meter reading and have a card mailed to us every two months to fill in.

Don't know if your suppliers will do this however worth investigating.

Remember the cost of new stock and the cost of getting them back to the sale size. Effectively double your cost in feed, time and elect since you got the fish. Plus the sale value of them.

Install the ocy John....

If you get no luck with them you could always take the fish down to their offices.... :)

I thought it might be worth mentioning so we can keep an eye on our topic titles or BYAP can try to fix it.

That the full uncessored title of this post comes up on the forum topic feed on BYAPs main site....It stands out like a sore thumb.

Sorry if my bump has just moved it to the top of the list again.

Sorry if the title offends you in any way DrLuke... I just assumed the "censor" would blank it...

doesn't offend me...Inside the forumn it is fine, I was just concerned BYAP did not know that it was appearing on their main business site automatically without the censor filter being applied.

Like everyone else John SORRY for your loss. BTDT. Backup, what Backup?

You mentioned business at the front, is it operational ???? Did they pull the fuses ???

The trout were in a temporary tank Chainsaw... intended to be moved into a larger tank today...

The temp tank did have a small battery backup system... but just wasn't sufficient for the number of fish, on a hot day, and water temps around 23+

The business at the front of the property is an operational service station... and they know nothing about what occurred... other than it appears that they, the business owner, ... did ask for a final reading on the (then vacant) property back in September.... which seems to have been actioned yesterday without anyone being actually notified, and despite obvious signs that the property was now being lived in...

But the only reason that the "disconnection" occured yesterday by "Endeavour"... was because "Integral/Origin" hadn't actioned a connection and transfer of my account from the previous address...

The reason... so far it's a bit bizzare... and the buck passing and arse covering has begun... I'll fill you in later... after another couple of calls...

Mmmmm Smelly fish.. I think that is the best time to take the fish to their Office's..

I think that will get more action than anything else..

Could also tell them that you will be contacting the power Ombudsman about this if they don't decide to fix the issue.. That will really hurt them.. I'm not sure if you do any form of retail/business off the premises but that can hurt them...

Should maybe also contact the local paper for a write-up of the issue..

I know for a fact that a bad write up can hurt them..

Maybe "A Current Affair"...

Juergen..

Sorry this incident just P's me off..

Shocking set of circumstances Rupe :support:

Just be sure who did the deed and get them to admit it before you hit with the claim IMHO

Yeah I reckon its the mob that actually did the deed that is responsible, for all they knew there could have been an elderly person on some sort of life support sleeping inside, as if all those fish being killed isn't bad enough it could have been a lot worse for them, they could have killed a human!

Unfortunately locked gates and mongrel dog wont stop disconnection, the links can be removed on the street supply pole.
Terrible thing to happen Rupe, after all the hassle you went to moving them
