Now that i'm finally back on my feet after a back injury, getting my GH ready for winter .....

File comment: these are the removable panels that close in the GH.. they are double layered in GH plastic and it makes it nice just to put them on in the fall and take them off in the spring...

File comment: Im adding large cell bubble wrap into the GH ceiling to add just a little more insulation.... then I will put the second layer of plastic on the inside... and the best thing is the bubble wrap was free :)

when that's done, then I can finish up the deck boards....

ah, gotta hate floating sump tanks. Is the sump tank big enough that you could do a gravel filled sump for it? Then it could double as a grow bed and the gravel would probably keep it from floating even when the water level was low.
Of course if you gotta dig a new hole anyway, maybe you get a big chunk of liner and make the sump big enough to let you do a gravel filled sump. Only really tricky part is making the pump basket to keep the gravel away from the pump.

Good luck with it.

the current ST is a 150 gal (567l) stock tank and I need 108 gal (408l) to fill the GB's so not big enough

I am doing a small 180 gal (681l) ST with block and cement pad.... then I wont have to worry about it....

got someone to dig it and put in the block and I already have the liner....

will post pics as it goes

well winter is in the way here very early... supposed to be down to 37 degrees (2.7c)tonight and 35 (1.7c)tomorrow night.. but I dont think we will sink that low tonight here at the beach... since the ocean water is right around 60 degrees (15.5c)

but to be on the safe side... I have been closing in the GH. I have all the panels on now and of course the sun came out today and the temp shot up... opened all the doors, the exhaust fan came on and it stayed right round 85 degrees (29c)

Since I got the panels on the GH, it was time to clear my circulation fan, because It will probably come on tonight as the temp. drops....

So is that the self harvesting bean variety? Do they call it shredded beans?
