My plants all seemed to be covered in what appears to be white dust,(especially eggplant) On closer inspection a larger piece of dust had legs. Can't help with a photo, sorry.

Any ideas?

Look up mealy bugs, scale insects, aphids, and mites. Except for the one with legs could also be fungal (mildew).

I'm hoping you'll see something you recognize. This is a lot easier with photos.
