OK, here's a bit of fun or trivia........the question is, what is the fish pictured in my avatar, a clue is its NOT a murray cod.

Yep, you're right. Their other name is Clarence river cod, which is the only area they are found naturally, but they are being spread back to all their original habitats along the east coast.
They seem to be building in numbers as they are now being reported in all the small creeks around here.
Obviously derived from the murray cod thousands of years ago but the experts reckon they have different habits from big ol' lazy murray and act more like a bass in the shallow headwaters of tidal rivers.
