Threads like this really excite me! Great work. Is that green house mod for winter months only or summer to?

That's about 118, this year we saw 105F/40.5C several times. It held on for almost 6 weeks which we are not accustomed to. What will your winter temps be?

I'm excited to see how it produces over the winter.

Typically our climate here resembles desert like weather. Hot summers and cold winters. Winter drops to around 1-2 deg some times. This winter just gone I have had exellent plant growth from leafy greens like bok choi, lettuce, silver beet, peas etc. There is always something you can grow, once the system has established it just keeps on growing. :thumbleft:

Once I get a couple of days of 25 deg water it's time to pull them out. They survive the temps, but their skin goes bad.

Anticipating 2 to 3 weeks until final harvest. If you get that far I'd be surprised, unless we have a very cool couple of weeks.

Yeah our water temps were on 20 yesterday even though it didn't seem that warm.. Guess the nights are warming up a bit so you don't quite get that cool off every evening.

Guess that's one thing us Victorian's have over you westerners. Had a frost this morning, and was poking the net around in the system on the weekend and my god the water was cold. ;)

Yea Im gunna give it a go EB, see how long I can drag it out. It may be costly thou. Ive got an air conditioner in the shed (where this tank is) and Ill run it during the day then put a block of ice in over night and see what comes of it.

What do you think is the best way to filter this water? Some kind of aquarium filter? I have a small one in there now but its not much chop.

Zman - yea this was the biggest one I had left out of my lot, they look awesome under the flouro light.
