So in my build i'm going to have 6-9 IBC's buried. They will be connected in sets of 2 for different things. 1 Rain water storage, 1 Sump, 1 Spare water storage, maybe another for what ever. I've been wondering how to tell how much water is in them. So i came up with this design. Using a 2" 6' PVC, a 1/2" 6' PVC & a pool floatie. Oh yea, some paint!

I think i'll only have one of these in my Rain water storage tank, so i know when i need to pump some out to the spare tank or i should conserve.

p.s. you should start your own thread enuro, then you can just keep posting on the one instead of creating new threads all the time.

Well i created a few thread for thread topics. Having to wade threw 30 pages to find a topic is time consuming & makes the search function a real pain.

(i've got a system thread)

Good idea but be careful on what paint you use... You don't want to poison those fish.

I wouldn't use paint on the inside, not likely i'd use any at all. It just gives good illustration of the principle. I'll likely mark mine with gallons left.
