Powdered ... EEEWWWW!

THat tube stuff is like baby puke!

Fresh is better , but to my taste or intellect ...

Adding parmesan is the one thing that Italian Chefs do to destroy good food!

Just my opinion ..

Similar to many Aussie mates of mne abolutely destroying a great meat pie by adding a gallon of Tomato sauce...

I love *lists 30 gazillion cheeses*. There are some blues that I just CANNOT tolerate, even their smell is overpowering.

I like a good Parmesan. There are lots of crap ones out there. IMO, when used appropriately, it's the same as using a little bit of freshly cracked pepper on a dish.

I love the Raclette cheese (not sure what it's called). It's stinky as all get out (like keeping old socks in your fridge! mmm!), but sooooo good when you use it for Raclette!!!

I love a nice little bit of brie & camembert, preferably with wine. Yummo!!!

Harvarti!!!

I really don't like 'mouse-poo' cheese. I can't remember what type of seed it has in it, but when I was little, the shape of the seeds made me think of mouse-poo. ;) heheeh...

I love all cheeses!

Murray Cod and Yellowbelly also like them (caught a 85cm cod two years age on cheese, plain tasty for those that want to know, saved the cambert for myself! 8))

Right on TC one of my favorite cheeses is fresh parmesan, Johnnie do yourself a favour and get some ,powdered parmesan is a "CRIME AGAINST CHEESE"

Anyone heard of cheese friut, its a native plant that grows up here ,Morinda is its official name, its other name is vomit fruit it smells exactly like blue cheese ,soaked in cat urine, and served up on a plate of vomit .

Needless to say tracked some down and tried it, the trick is to hold your nose or the smell will bring tears to your eyes. Interesting flavour is not the word i would use think mustard paste mashed into blue cheese.

The best bit is whene you let go of your nose the stench hits you in the back of the throat Yuuuuuukkkkk!!!!!!

PS Ever wonder why old socks sometimes smell like blue cheese , because the fungus that causes foot odor is the exact same one they innoculate the cheeses with. Happy eating !

along the same lines Tim B ...

I figure if they make wine by treading grapes they must make port by picking their toenails afterwards

Spot on TimB, you have to make sure the feta is good and you get most of the oil off. I am the only one in my family that will eat fresh olives... I keep telling them what they are missing out on.

Cheese is fantastic.

I'm especially partial to camembert and tomatoes on crackers, i often eat so much it becomes the meal instead of a snack.

I feel bereft if there is no cheese in the fridge.

Cheese makes me smile when i say it. photographers are very fond of cheese too.

Plain old Philadelphia Cream Cheese is wonderful on rice crackers.

Lately I've been enjoying Munster with slices of pear.

Husband thinks American cheese is the only cheese there is. Yech!
