Slowly, slowly getting there... now have a pump (cheap and nasty but it'll do to start with), tank, barrels, tubs, hydrotron, perlite, nft channels
and today curtesy of a local doing some reno work to his house... a whole heap of piping....

Now all I need is ... (total cost to date approx $100)

Oh and I wish the bloody toms would hurry up and die.... need the space
Kids counted them, over 170 fruits and still flowering...

Might need that bloody chainsaw

Nice score!!! This plumbing is very expensive new (the only reason my system isn't running yet.

If you want to re-use the elbows / connectors etc cut each pipe off around 2cms from where they enter the elbow, then paint the inside of the pipe to the end with the pipe glue, then light the glue with a lighter. As it burns it heats up the old seal and the pipe end can be removed with a pair of pliers. The elbows will be slightly distorted in parts but they are easily joined with extra glue. Takes a few goes to get the right amount of glue to heat the seal but not to distort the connector to much.

Hope it helps

Yeah well... I'm trying to understand why they sell "tomato" stakes that are only half the height the tomatos grow???????

... actually, training the runners is an old nursery and hydro technique....

and hey I'm a solo dad with one self employed income (minimal) and two teenage kids, so if string will do the job.... string it is lol

string ? sure... shoes... well bugger it after all it is summer... lol

Edited:

I have it on good authority that the "bare" toe shoe is all the current rage and fashion these days apparently...

Actually, most appearances of bare toed shoes seem to have been by "mods" and high posters...

some sort of secret "masonic" type identification signal maybe????

or signature of rank???
