Nice. Surprisingly. ;)

My house sitter made up a galv lid for the tank, and the water is still clear, just a nice tea color (like yours BF).

One tommie has shriveled a little but still has tommies on it, i think the setm was damaged at gravel level by flopping left and right before i tied it.

Lots of tommies, lemanese water cress is asking for a trim. Lots of strawberries, chllie plant has gone nuts with the flowering......

Am wondering if part of the flowering fruiting spike has had to do with reducing the nitrogen to near zero during the clean up and the solid fish waste trapped in the gravel still releasng P and K hence giving the plants a more fruiting/flowering "friendly NPK ratio.

Thoughts?

bit of an update, plants all still doing well.

submersible pump sot the hose off underwater at some point today plants all survived and showed hardly any sign of wilting, i guess its one of the perks of having the auto siphon design and having it Flood within a couple of minute and drain in less than one! Once the roots are well established then the pump would have to die in a 15 second window for the roots to be without water.

i actually haven't done ANY water tests since the clean out / salt bath / re-fill. prolly should get onto that.

Water is heaps nicer since the tank is covered with gal. sheet

Tommie starting to hang off the edge of the bed, and as always i want more beds!

cat fish are cool, have them in the indoor tank, and have re-located the indoor jades to outside.

baths are very similar and lots cheaper for the moment ;)

My biggest problem is how to incorporate more into my system.

Here is my problem.
i want a couple of nft channels, but the water for them needs to come post gravel bed so its solids free.
the outlet of the autosyphon from the bed is too low to do anything with except go back into the tank.
i dont want to use multiple pumps

Yep - lift the grow-bed Steve. I started cutting metal for my second grow-bed stand last weekend. Will start welding this weeken hopefully. Can't say which is harder, building the thing in real life or drawing the bugger on sketchup.
