Yeah, I agree with m3tal. Do they twitch around like the ones here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6chh-_5hAgg Personally the ones I've seen are only 1/4 the size of these.

Its been a while since I've posted here.

the system is still going great guns. the entire system has been running from my solar system for the past 8 months. 30min on - 30mins off.
I have the system stocked with only 8 trout and I have noticed that the water quality has dropped compared to same time last year. Last year i was able to stock this system with 20 or so before I started loosing conditions...
havn't got a photo of GB but will try to remember

regards
Matt

if its the feed that Simon (aka bunybear) purchased then yes.

the trout have finally come around to hitting it hard. took them a while?? a couple of days of starvation sorted it out

Matty give it a week or so and they should start to show signs of pinker flesh. I've been harvesting a few over the last few weeks and the last lot were definitely pinker

pulled a couple of fish out today and smoked them.

Must admit they tasted much better then the last few lots that I've eaten.

this time I placed the cleaned trout into a brine of 6 cups of water, 6 table spoons of crushed salt, 2 table spoons of brown sugar & juice of 1 lemon for 1 1/2 hours.
Hot smoked for 30 minutes. :eat:
