only thing is that now we have the tank in there... we reckon that a 5000L would fit MUCH better :whistle:

We are contemplating whether to add a couple of towers... but ATM hubby wants to see what it looks like surrounded by plants trailing over the sides of the GBs once they are full of gravel and plants like cukes etc... have to admit, it will look pretty good!

So the plan is to do the same thing in the other corner with the other tank in a couple of weekends time hopefully :D

Sure did, and worked a treat - havent had one fail yet (touch wood) :wink:
We used Sikaflex as it seems to have a stronger bond on the plastic than silicone... but we did use silicone in the system too. Unfortunately we have 2 gravel beds that have a leak around the standpipe and Im pretty sure they were silicone glued ones which is going to be a bit of a bugger to fix! Still, 2 out of 21 isnt too bad considering we had no idea what we were doing at the time!

No matter what you use, if you have time rub the area you are going to glue with some rough sandpaper if you can. I think you will have a good result that way. we didnt by the way, and havent had too many probs... and the good thing about sikaflex is that it can be applied underwater if you HAVE to, to fix a small leak etc.

We are hoping to get a little bit of that action this weekend... cant wait!

I think its interesting in the top pic that I cant find any that are missing claws... you would kind of think that in those numbers there would be quite a few 'claw casualties' at least wouldnt you!?!

Bonanza I think. Been so long since I watched TV, I had to run a few songs through my head to find out which one fit.

How did your corn do this season? Been waiting (lurking) to see reports, maybe I missed it.

No good Im afraid... the ears developed and were milky when you punctured them with a fingernail... but were still rock hard and tasteless (not sweet). Ended up leaving them for a lot longer than we needed to to make sure but didnt make a difference :cry: ... guinea pigs liked them tho!

We had a pretty bad growing season here in general but also it might have been a bit out of season too. Oh well... better luck next time!

My frustrating problem at the moment is that we have 2 beds of all season cabbage seeds that are on 2 different banks but only a metre or so away from each other... one is shooting up baby seedlings everywhere and will have to be thinned eventually... the other is getting eaten as soon as they clear the rock if they have a chance at getting that far... very frustrating as I cant see what is doing it. :evil:
