I threw my last worm into the tank today (at 21c) and my silvers nearly emptied it in the frenzy. The little guy that got it first was foolish enough to leave a tiny bit hanging out of the corner of its mouth. Then it was on :)

The poor little guy finally got first crack at a worm, and then the rest of the tank was chasing him around. I didnt see what happened in the end, but I think he might have spat it to save himself :)

Oh and the other day the tank hit 12C and the bigger silvers hit worms with a frenzy so I threw in some pellets and they hit them as well. It was a brief warming though :)

My silvers are still around 5cm long or so. I chuck in a few pellets every few days, if they dont get to it the yabbies will or if they dont get to it the pump will send it to the trout tank where it will be caught in my sock filter :P

Tried my silvers with egg white from hard boiled eggs the last two days and they cleaned them up.
And the dog loved the yolks :D

My Trout Fingerling went apeshit on it....

Between silver perch and Trout was about 13 days and my tank become full of bloody mozzies and larve, when the trout went in.... all gone!

U need a lid on ya tank.... Mine just bounce off the lid at some times!!

I cant remember if I mentioned how great the $100 walk in grow house (tiny 1.8m by 1.8m ) was from bunnings, but if I did, I should now mention that the seams are all falling apart :)

A glasshouse works amazingly though. Just not this one.

My plan is to use it for a bit longer before taking it back. Ill buy a better one with a store credit next winter.

But my silvers have been feeding like it's mid summer since I got it.

A glasshouse is totally worthwhile.
