Trout count now 99. Just got home and found a jumper. Found it out on the back lawn (the dog got to it).

Tank is always covered so I must have a weak spot in the cover. Too dark to investigate now.

Thats strange, we haven;t had any jumpers.. They seem to settle quickly for us normally after the first week or so, we don;t worry about them.

The water level is high in my fish tank - about 5 cms from the top.

They do hit the food hard and jump pretty high out of the water (I have seen them jump over the return pipe which is about 15 cms from the surface of the water. I guess I didn't notice this when jump out when I gave them a feed today.

They have been in since April ZMan but I think they were planted at the wrong time of the year.

My system was only new in April too - ie was still cycling.

Much of what we originally planted has become very large, but has either not yielded anything or very little. May be time to rip everything out and start again.

Thought I would try out YouTube so I took a quick video of feeding my trout.

Hope it works.

@Zman. My veggies are really starting to take off, but the darn dog isn't giving them much of a chance. Just when you think she is settling down she goes and destroys things.

Hi Arbe, If you still have the manual for your camera, you might read up on the focus modes. My camera has several ways it focus on the picture. Comes set to 4 spots not in the center so I get some of my close pics are not in focus in the center like your cauli was, The leaves were in focus which were closer than the center the cauli. Are you resizing your pics on the computer and can you see them full screen to get a good look at them before you post them? If you do not have a manual experiment with the camera. Try looking off to the side a bit of center so the part you want is in focus.
