Close enough. They're right next door. Albeit with a suitable gap of water to prevent invasion. :D

Around here, all i get is kids that want to know about car's and bicycles, or custom Paint on cars or bicycles.....

I design, build and fix electronics, and the closest i can get to them wanting to know something about that, is them wanting ME to install florescent bulbs under their car, or a car stereo for them..........

and pulling up a weed in the garden is totally out of the question........

i cant even get them to sweep up the shop............

:upset:

I went to conference a couple of weeks ago, and there was a 17yo that had built a Tesla Coil all by himself, that was throwing off 4 foot sparks....... it was way wicked..... why cant i have kids like that for neighbors....................................

Because tesla coils give off emf that take out other electronic items.
I used to fix tv's and built one in my spare time using a tv power supply and loptx to feed the coil.
Took out the phone system and one tv, lucky it was low power! :P

Oh yea Tesla Coils can kill things...... while he was doing the demo's, everyone that wanted to see it running, had to leave their Phones, Ipods, etc... outside the room......

I just want a kid that is into that kind of thing for a Neighbor, there are plenty of other fun stuff to build, test and experiment with.... I have a Whole Shop full of electronics to play with............

LOL.....yea at least a few of them are not so smart..... some of them have very good jobs and work really hard... It's just that understanding electronics is beyond all of them, and thus their kids don't care to know, unless their play station is broken...... so the only time they show up, is when they want something..... but to get them to help around the house, sweep the shop, etc..., or work in the garden in exchange for fixing something, they just wont do it, or if they do, they 1/2 ass the job..... I will not fix their stuff for free, and they generally don't have the Bucks to pay me enough to spend my time doing it otherwise............

When I was living in a share house I used to wonder about what some parents were thinking as they brought up their kids.
Many could cook no more than 2min noodles. Never had washed their own clothes and many other simple day to day tasks.
Lost a button throw the item out. Flat wheel call RAC.

Smother them in wool for 17-21 years then throw them out to sink or swim.

Been through a few at the place i do a bit of contracting work for, If they turn up monday... they are usually hung over or still under the influence. Even then if u get a good straightedge one they tend to not really want to learn, or they know it all and you 13 years of Expertise is useless as they done Cert II at Tafe........

God i admit i wasnt the best apprenctice in australia but i learned my trade, respected Tradesman and soaked up as much information as i could!
