Looks great zman, nice spot you have it set up at. I can see a IBC frame holding up that last GB there but what do you have under the others?

yeah Zman that looks like a worm egg, that thing in the middle of the photo.

Charlie you can make out another frame on the left. So 2 IBC cages on either side and in the middle i just had hardwood sitting on the IBCs.

I have been getting alot more of possum shit every day

Time to make them spikes to stop them.

Funny enough i think they are gathering gum leaves then going up the GB to sit and eat the leaves, then shit in the GB, then leave -_-

I might setup a camera to see whats going on and how im going to keep them out ^_^

Nitrite 0.5-1
Nitrate 1-2



OH and the water clariety has got 100% better over night

Give them a decent feed tonight Hui.... but feed lightly in the morning for a day or two....

Whats the nancy gloves for Zman? Get your fingers in there.....

Rupert, since i have been only feeding them in the morning and they dont seem like to eat during dusk before the sun going down. I will try to get the wife to feed them throughout the day.

Did a test and seems like Nitrite went to 2 so gave them a light feed this morning. Water clear as day now. I can see individual pellets float all the way down to the bottom of the FT

EB with the rotting veggies in there no way i would want that on my hands hehe.

Still have yet to make my possum deterrent. I did cut down a branch from the gum tree closest to the GB but till need to make them spikes tonight

Went out there tonight, Nitrite has gone up 2-5. Will slow down the feeding even more now till it goes to 0/0.

Nitrate is only 0-5 though.

I should prob not mention my nitrate at 160+....oops

Nitrite 5+ again hmmm. Wont be feeding for a day or 2.

An update on the possum front.

I placed my fence addon fairly poorly before i went to work. I tried to screwed the ends of the wood to the fence but i couldnt get it in with the short time i had.

Next morning i go out and find this.



Then in retaliation the possum did this.



Up to this point it hasnt eaten my vegies, i guess trying to keep it out he was mad He ate half of the broccoli plant and dug out some clay witch destroyed some other younger plants.

So yesterday i was sick of the possums and the crap they leave behind in the grow bed.

I rigged up this.



Just some bird netting i had around.

I will make it more of a structure when i get time. I went out this morning and couldnt find any droppings

cool post, made me laugh....so glad i don't have to deal with possums, or it would be possum stew every Friday night dinner
