Was just throwing it out. Didn't realize it would cause another big stur. I may be behind the 8 ball but didn't abuse anyone. Thought it may save in cost, is that wasting time-maybe but il keep looking for cheaper options in aspect of AP. Personally I think what's going on hear at the moment is wasting time. I'm not doing compost heating ,just keen on anything out side the box, is this a bad thing. APOLOGIZE if upset anyone. Didn't realize it was like this. was trying to get alittle and maybe help others along the way.

Don't take it too heart RR its a forum, you get that. There was a good joke I heard about argueing on the internet, but cant remember the rest of it.

Sweet mate. I got big shoulders i can handle it. Has been some good feed bak. Like they say u take the good with the bad. Just wish i could get bak to talking about something constructive. Thanks for ur help bndybear, u give me good honest feed bak.

I know its time consuming but the search tool is your best friend here. There is a lot of info to sift through but be very specific with your searches and you'll find plenty of info on anything AP your thinking of.

Read through some of those threads of people who have been here a while and you will learn alot, from others mistakes!

OK... back it up a bit people...

Redrocket, I wasn't trying to have a shot at you... I was just trying to point out previous experiences from members...

A compost heater has an advantage over other means of heating... in as much as it's basically free... and will produce some heat through the night.. whereas things like evac tubes or rolls of poly pipes wont...

Heaters... electric, gas rocket stoves etc... are fine... but cost...

The main point though was that unless the tank is insulated, and/or in a shed or greenhouse... you'll loose most of the daytime heat gains... through the night....

However, any little bit helps.... but in the end it comes down to how much cost and/or time you prepared to spend... for what gains.... in comparison to just stocking an appropriate fish and not having to worry about anything...

RR you need to resize your fotos to 800 x 600 for this forum. Post lots we like to see umm all.
