12 months on and our personal system is still in the beginning stages, unfortunately paid work takes priority and my eldest (8) isn't to keen on a shovel.

On a good note though our (my) enthusiasm finally had an effect on my wife who is an assistant principal at our local public school . Her school put in a proposal to install an aquaponics system which was successful and after a few hiccups they have Rupert of Oz installing a system in their newly built compound. So look out for the schools joining the forum and posting some photos and updates of their system, i'm also sure the kids will have a heap of questions for the forum as well.

We had a heap of rain through the week and when Rupe was trying to leave he got his hire truck bogged ip to the axles, I only wish I had a camera.

I had a camera... but I didn't think it would be fair to take a picture of your 4WD.... bogged after trying to pull me out...

PS.... It's not that funny really.... got bogged to the axles... on the way up as well....

Wow reread through this thread, there doesnt seem to be many in Metro NSW.

I remember reading a thread about a year back about a guy with 2 IBC system in Riverwood too but cant seem to find it

ha all i am a nother newcastle new comer to ap. would be great to talk to people involved in newy area. trying to track down fingerlings localy. have heared pindimar,karuah & possible some were around nelsons bay for fish. i am happy with my set up just need the right species of fish and plants and hopefully away i go. fresh veg and fish!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a lady that just set up a AP system in newcastle, Rupert should know who it is.

more newy people. thats great. i have been talking and asking about AP around newy for awhile and most people look at me funny,so i try to explain. quite funny been a novious. best thing i did was jump on this site. plenty of help hear. cheers all

Whereabouts are you in Newcastle RedRocket... I could point you to quite a few established system, from small to large... between Newcastle and Gosford... including several schools...
