Are you saying we are "different" here in kal EB?? Now what is it exactly you mean by that??

Your right I suppose but Im normal compared to OBO, hes totally nuts, must be all the dust and red dirt or something. hehe.

Im kinda worried about the rain today, I still havnt got around to setting up a back up aerator. I better take back what I said about OBO cause I may need to call him in the middle of the night if the power goes out....

First job to do when I go on break in a couple of days I think.

Then off to Perth to finally visit the BYAP shop and buy some goodies and meet the crew!! Yipeee..

Oh man!!!! My first HSM!!!!!!

Got home from work today and found a couple of floaters, further investigation proved another 3 down by the pump. Tested water and nothing out of the ordinary other than PH, originally my PH was around 7.6, it is now 6.4. I havnt checked my PH for over a month so not sure if it has dropped over time or the rain lately had effected or whats happened there.

They look healthy, mouthes open a little but not enough to think air would be the issue aswell as I have a lot of air pumping into the FT.

Im confused and very stressed. Doing a water change out and salting as we speak.

sorry for pic quality, my phone is crap.

Well hopefully my quick acting has saved me from further deaths, I have directed the water from both systems into each other for about an hour now, basically swaping the water into each other to hopefully dilute any problem that is there. Immediately the trout have become more active and seem more happy, just hope Im not spreading the issue to the silver FT. Have salted and now wait it out, hopefully tomorrow has good news....

Sooooooo frustrating, now I know how many have felt before me. :upset:

I considered a DO problem FB but I have so much air pumping in it resembles a spa bath so I strongly doubt it. But anyways when I got home tonite all looks well, no more fatalities thank god. Still not sure of what happened, all tests are at zero, slight Ammonia at around .25 but all looks good. Threw a little feed in and they went nuts for it but I might hold of for another day or so and see how we go.

phewwww.... :thumbright:

Just in case anyone cares, the rest of my trout family are healthy and happy. Not sure what happened, the only thing I forgot to mention is one of them had a 7mm feed stuck in its throat (got some new feed from BYAP the other day) I have been using 3mm up until now so maybe they werent ready for it, I bought some 5mm aswell so maybe Ill try that for a while untill they get bigger..
:dontknow:

I was going to say hi joel and faye but you were both sound asleep at your desktops :D
