looks like it's possible, would be nice if Open Office can do it.

Sadly, I had no joy trying some workarounds I thought might work.

Easy enough to link to videos and have them spawn a browser. Or better yet link to the forum link to the video. After all, as well as free information, this doc would be a promo for BYAP. The more people who drop in, the better.

If you do want to make it more a part of the pdf, it might be a good idea to use a familiar sight to indicate its a video. So perhaps a screen grab picture with the familiar "play" arrow as the link rather than a text link.

Thanks I downloaded the trial version of Acrobat and it worked, but an 8 minute clip took way too long to load and play.

A pdf might not be the best format anyway. pdf is really a media for printing. You cant print a video. So if you want something distributable with video, a stand alone html file might be better. That way you can integrate it into the BYAP homepage as well. You may as well, having put all that work into it.

Or if you want it for printing a pdf with links to video.

Put a $149.99 recommended retail price on the front, and I'll drop it into the P2P networks as well. Nothing like people thinking they are ripping someone off to disseminate a document quickly and efficiently.

BTW I totally agree with the HTML version on the site and shared as a zipped html file with a PDF file as an alternative download with links to the videos in it.

Alright, we're nearly there.. We expect that this will be finished early to mid next week and we'll be looking for a few people with a couple of hours to spare who can have a read through looking for errors... Doing a bit of clicking backwards and forwards through the document seeing if you can find mistakes faults or errors, as well as reading through for spelling mistakes etc..

Any takers?

Oh and HTML version "might" happen... For now it's going to be a pdf, not small either, probably about 35MB, but thats expected with lots of pictures and lots of pages..
