Pulled 7 of the 2nd year trout out today, they are well over 550 gramms, and exceptionally fat :D

I have a spare tank that I pump water into to make catching the fish easier.

:laughing3: So that's what OBO's profile picture is. I always wondered... Looked like some kind of fishing lure...

The drop net idea would probably work well. You just need to use one the size of the tank and feed it along the bottom while being careful no fish gets underneath. You probably would need an extra hand or two.

Hi OBO.
Way back on pg 10 or so, you said that after your fish tanks were backfilled with the clay-heavy soil, you wouldn't have a problem with the tank popping out of the ground if the area flooded. Has that turned out to be true?

Yes.

Even in that picture of a few weeks ago where the whole area is flooded, it only wets down to about 30cm depth at the most. I can not see the tanks popping out of the ground at any time.

Hi OBO. Thanks heaps for your hospitality when I met you in early May (and thanks heaps for Tomatoes and Rockmelon). Looks like you have been really busy since I saw you!!! And yes... I got caught out in the WA Goldfields with all that rain!!! I was hoping I could catch up with you again before I came home... but not possible. You and your family are inspirational!!!
