I paid only 1 bill for the entire 2 year contract I was with telstra. Home phone and wireless internet. That one paid one was an accident, not because they did anything right or anything. In the early days I said, I'd start paying if they showed me one good month in a row :) they never did. Foiolishly the people the ombudsman sent me to aggreed that that was fair. :)

One guy agreed to have my bills sent to his desk, then moved on, and my bills were just binned for a few months :) He had put a stop action on suspension of service, and it didnt get taken off :) That bit was great, because I didnt need to sit on hold for 10 hours every month when my bills came through.

Actually it was only 1 year and 11 months as I got out of the contract when I found out I was moving.

Telstra is yukky and I can prove it in court.

I have all the notes from the threatened class action if there is a budding lawyer that wants to make a name for themselves.

If you are on mobile internet you dont ever need to pay a bill due to a billing error that I call telstra's every second month service contract. I even have their internal name for the error :)

Your current provider is taking the piss. I work for an ISP that gets wholesale from optus, and faults get raised to telstra if optus techs cant fix it within 1-2 days usually.

Iv been with iinet for 3 years now, we have had line issues (due to 6 houses being built in the street, it got pulled out then it got severed etc)

each time i rang iinet who rang telstra who were out to fix it within 24h.

Never had any other issues i rate iinet 10/10

Line rental Telstra homeline budget, ISP Internode ADSL2+. Rarely a problem, if there is, I get Telstra to fix the line.

Telstra is 100% not allowed to tell you that you line would be fixed quicker if you had ADSL with them. This is totally not allowed, and is frowned apon very heavily by the TIO. It is one of the reasons that the Wholesale and Retail arms of telstra were forced to split apart.

And Telstra suck too. Whatever plan you are going onto, you could get the same plan for around 50 to 75% of the price from other suppliers with much better service.

They're not allowed to, but it's obvious that's the way it happens...

Are you human?: hmm, fishy question

C'mon guys, lets not rubbish Telstra....everyone change back to Telstra....Telstra is the best !!!!!

I've gotta do something, my Telstra shares are sinking faster than Julia Gillards popularity !!!

And if anyone laughs at me for still having Telstra shares....I'll...I'll.....unfriend them !!!

Are you human?: if yes goto line 25

I can't even get ADSL because of our phone lines... but because of the Phone line condition around our area Im happy Im not using it,always being repaired and if everyone in our street picked up the phone to dial out at the same time some of us wouldn't get a line (paired gains system where T uses one line for multi houses :upset: )
So we use Bigpond 3G wireless, sure we dont get the same down load limits as ADSL but never goes off when the phone lines are down
