Looking at buying some ibc which has had this in them.

Given it is a strong anti bacterial agent I'd be buying into a world of pain?

my IBC's had hand soap originally in them which I would guess, since i didn't get any MSDS with them, would have some sort of anti bacterial substance in them. Washed out a few times untill no more soapy bubbles were visible then sit in the sun to dry and then rinsed again and ready to go.

Did more research.

"very toxic to aquatic life"

"chemical and container needs to be disposed as environmentally hazardous"

I understand the concern but a very high percentage of ibcs out there have food grade bladders which with correct cleaning (elbow grease) will be perfectly fine for apers needs.

Its quite common also for ibcs to be recycled and cleaned and have held everything from tomato paste to dog poop to hydroflouric acid. Theres companies that do exactly that.

I personally avoid ibcs that look damaged inside the bladder as it makes it harder to clean but if your worried just keep looking it took me 2 months hunting to find good clean ones.

Theres a guy near me im trying to convince to sell me 10 ibcs that held distilled water... Hes slowly coming round hehe
