Is there anyone having good success with SP in areas of NSW, VIC, or TAS at alltitudes of 450m?
I believe my climate is too cold to run them successfully over numerous winter season but just curious to see if there are many others having success in similar climates.

didn't test today but they have been roughly 9-10 at the highest every day for the last 3 months. I only test late afternoon and so I would not have any higher temps. Lows overnight could be alot less.

Thats pretty cold, and summer? You must be pretty close to trout all year round considering people here in Perth almost managed to keep them through summer.

Last summer.... no problems we didn't get one! but 2 summers before... about 20 mins east of me is where the biggest of the black Saturday fires started and that day was 47+ and every day for 5 days either side was over 30! Trout year round probably not an option but very keen to make it work. Would like to have a bit more land to be able to have inground deep tanks and run only trout.

My big tank only hit 25C once last summer so trout would have gone through. Most years here we have multiple days of 40C plus so , trying trout would be risky
In Meldourne you should have more chance of keeping them year round me thinks\
Sorry, dunno why I was thinking trout
