Hello to all!!

I am new here but have lots of questions?
1. I have about a 1/2 acre natural pond, don't know the actual depth, how do I find out if the water is compatible with an aquaponics system?? It has a natural dirt bottom and there are crappie, bluegill and some catfish in it.

I'm a bit of a newbie, but I would've thought that if the fish are happy, then the water would be fine. A concern i guess might be outside pollution. Is the pond fed from a stream, aquifer or natural spring?

You could get a water test from a pool/aquarium shop to see what properties is has.
