Thanks Murray and earthbound That is a very easy install and quick item to use. It takes something that used to require several steps and turns it into a one step process!

It is handy that it automatically (unless you tell it not to) makes a copy and re-sizes that rather than risking your original. It saves it in the same folder with a note of the new size. It gives several choices of size as well as custom.

Thanks
TCLynx

This will no longer work with Vista or Windows 7...

Try this instead... http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/releases/view/30247

Same product... but third party.. as M$oft discontinued with Vista...

The only problem with off site storage is that sometimes things go wrong and you lose every picture you've ever put on the forum.... Just ask Gemmel about it...

The best way to use pictures in the forum is to up load them as part of your posts if at all possible, then they can;t go missing because of third party image site problems...

I use a freeware program called ShrinkPic. It will automatically resize the image as you upload it to the page. Works great for dragging pictures into email too! I rate it 5 stars.

For Windows 7 users - resize pics using "Paint".

Hi guys, could someone help me out with opening photo's. Just had a look and now I can't view attachments anymore, even the pictures that I've posted in the past. What's changed?

Not sure exactly what you mean Kelly... There are some picture missing at the moment on the forum due to the forum upgrade earlier in the week, they will be back soon...

Hi Kelly... another small change with the forum upgrade means that you need to click the "Full Editor" button to access the smilies if you use the "quick reply" box...

If you use the "Post Reply" option... then the smilies and full edit functions are available by default...

Kelly just leave the cursor where you want the smilie to insert ... ie.. end of sentance (where you finish typing)... then click the appropriate smile... :D
