Greenhouse is finished, took me about a year to build. Some growbeds in and have been fishless urea cycling for about 2 weeks and seeds in and sprouting.

Since my PH is running high, 8.4, I thought I would try some chelated iron to help with the nutrient lockout. I am running about 550 gals of water between fishtank and sump. How do I know how much to add?

I don't think iron chelates will lower pH... Try hydrochloric acid... I think you can get them from pool shops. The bottle should contain information on how much to add to lower pH... Probably best to do it gradually as pH changes may affect the establishing bacteria colony as well (I think you did not have any fishes right; otherwise you should do it even more gradually)...

The chelated iron is for nutrient lockout due to the high PH. I was going to see if the PH would drop on its own.

I think this is the best approach. Chelated Iron plus Seasol (Maxicrop) to help the plants and let the pH come down naturally.

Am .25
Nitrite 2
Nitrate 10

I was adding one cap full of Seasol and one teaspoon of Chelated Iron per 1000 liters once a week. I added mine directly to the sump. If you don't have a sump I would mix in some water and add to your fish tank.

No more urea... let the ammonia and nitrites cycle down to zero...

Does this mean I am cycled? I need to find some fish but the local fish farm seems to be closed for the summer  I guess maybe my son can continue to contribute.

Well hopefully going to get some fish this weekend. I think I am cycled but I am not certain. Tested water tonight:
PH-8.3
A-.25
Ni-0
Na-0
Went ahead and added a dose of urea, salted to 1ppm(I think, added 2kg to 2000ltr of water). I had to top off the sump due to evaporation and decided to test the water straight from the well for ph, came out 7.8, does ph rise after sitting a bit? I know my water is hard as I have to fight with the pool PH also.
