Thanks EB - essentially, yes, that is what I was asking. No, it is not what I'm looking for.

Are you human?: hmm, fishy question
Location: alstonville, nsw, aust.
There is a 0 - 70ppt digital with temperature as well, no brand visible but in Hong Kong on that Ebay site.
Is this a safe buy @ $47 ?
or should I go with a known local supplier ??

Personally I try not to buy from OS if possible... Bought a digital camera without even realizing it was from OS, sent it to Jaymie and then it buggered up... Well she had quite a few issues trying to get things happening with overseas help ... Probably didn't help I was in the middle of things...

I think a bloody good knock got it working again in the end luckily...

Are 0-10% available (worldwide)??????????????? I find my 0-100% just too hard to read.

Thats a good link on ebay you put up F&F But, as EB says prefer to deal with someone in Aus.

OK looks like you have bit of research to do EB (or Faye) and put a 0-10% Refractometer into your stock list. I am sure they would sell, here. Put me down for one.

Yep, I've probably brought about twenty of the ATC Refractometers on eBay from a Hong Kong supplier... never had a problem with any of them...

And they're not that hard to read... and i need glasses to read normally...

Cant be that good if youve had to buy 20 Rupe??

But seriously I own an ATC from Aus and its a quality instrument although the 0-100 is too greater range to be accurate when trying to salt to the levels we want I have found, whether it be 1ppt or 6ppt.

I've tested against seawater... and measured concentrations of 1ppt, 3ppt, and 6ppt... and the refractometers have read spot on every time...

Indeed, up until now... nobody that's ever used them.. has questioned the accuracy at all... at least not for our purposes...

And heck... does it really matter if it's 1ppt... or 1.2ppt...

I dont doubt there accuracy, Im just pointing out the increments are extremely close together and there is room for error when you dont have one that has auto temp adjust.

+1 I am not worried about accuracy, but with my eyesight don't know if its 1ppt or 5ppt. What I am asking though 'Is there a refractometer available that does have a 0-10 scale"? and I dont care if I have to get it o'seas.
