:headbang: Talcum powder! It gets in to their joints and renders them paraplegics.

Had to share my strawberries with little ants. But the half a strawberry I had left was seriously the best strawberry I ever had. Anybody got any advice on how to get rid of ants? The whole neighborhood is having issues with the small ones this year.My yard has ant holes all over.I have some really nasty insect killer that I can put on the lawn but it killed everything last year, including worms which I always need around for fishing and free fish food, not to mention my compost pile did really crappy last year after all the worms died.Things have now recovered so i am trying to avoid it.Also my pond and AP obviously cannot be sprayed or anything...at a loss???
Any Suggestions?

Dump some gas down the hole and light that bitch up... killed HUGE colonies this way :D

I have a suggestion for the ant problem. Use bugs to get rid of the ants. It is the organic way. Go to

Buglogical.com

and read through the pest problems and find the part on ants. Their recommendations are what I use. Several years ago I had a serious problem with grubs and they got my corn crop and some other stuff. I bought some nematodes and put them out. For the next couple of years I could not find a grub in my garden at all. Worked really great.
This year I bought some more and put around my house and AP Garden to kill the ants and mosquitoes and dog ticks and fleas as well. I put some in the grow beds too. I am going to buy some red wigglers for my bed also.

I know beneficial nematodes work great in soil. Has anyone tried them in a gravel bed?
