Good choice monya... make sure to wear gloves when handling perlite... its kinda rough on the hands.

Maybe a mask too.... heard that the dust isn't very good for you.

Probably due to the fact that Perlite is a "crushed" silica glass...

Out of curiousity Mon, what did 600ltr of Perlite cost you, if you don't mind me asking???

Yeah, that's good... my guy up the road lists at $33 (inc) for 100ltr...

Haven't priced him for 600ltr... but at that rate = $198 so allowing for a "bulk" discount and assuming he's not a crabs behind that sounds fairly good to me

I paid $30 for a 50 litre bag (or maybe its bigger - I will have to check).

My local hydro guy is VERY cruisy.

We pay about $28.50 for 100 litres of perlite in Bundamba, so your bloke's around the money.

Re the perlite.......that back of yours not looking too good for the next gravel wash, huh?

Nah, but even I can wash the perlite LOL BIL's on perlite and gravel washing detail this weekend!
