Come on guys... that's not very nice!... :naughty:

Everyone knows that the most humane way to dispatch unwanted and feral cats is with an injection... a high speed lead injection! :thumbright:

Mummified cats is an option?!? What are we waiting for? Got a few extra of them running around my AP system trying to get my fish...

Hmm... Wait til PETA hears about this...

Speaking of ferals... Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed an increase in foxes in around Perth in the last few years. I'm seeing flat ones (the best kind) all the time now when driving around, at least one a month. In the last two weeks alone I've seen one on Hepburn Ave and two on the Northern end of Tonkin... problem is... they're just the dumb ones!

Quite an interesting article in the Age a few weeks back
http://www.theage.com.au/business/peak- ... 1e0gt.html
Quote:
Zero Carbon Australia Stationary Energy Plan, which shook things up by calling for investment of $37 billion a year to switch the whole country over to 100 per cent renewable energy within a decade. The plan included enough installed energy capacity to power all our transport needs.

Quote:
The executive director, Matthew Wright, says the opportunity for Australia is there to invest in new, climate-friendly transport infrastructure and avoid spending on high-priced oil imports, which Beyond Zero estimates could exceed $50 billion a year by 2015. ''That's what I call a great big tax,'' says Wright.

So you either spend $37 billion a year to switch the whole country over to 100 per cent renewable energy within a decade. The plan included enough installed energy capacity to power all our transport needs.
or you pay $50 billion a year by 2015 on high-priced oil imports

So for 370 billion you could replace all cars, planes, power plants, etc....not likely. What exactly do you get for that investment besides a bunch of rich bureaucrats? IMO, you are better off taking that money and drilling off your coast. I don't buy it.

But you can't just keep drilling forever because every time you will be getting less and less.... The answer to a deminishing resource is not to just keep trying harder to find more of that limited resource, you have to look at plan B and C...

I reckon steps in the right direction are always better than not going forward at all... Though I hear you about consultants and others making a fortune..

Speaking of steps in the right direction. Here are some Aussies giving things a red hot go and far cheaper than the overpriced imported junk that we are foisted upon us.

Not cheap though... $48,000 for a little car that normally costs less than $20,000 at .
