The secret to a good pumpin soup that my mum never knew, was the roasting it before hand. She used to just boil it, yuck. Another tip is to roast with the seeds still there too, only take them out after roasting the pumpkin, makes it a little nuttier tasting.

Sebago potatoes. I never heard of them either so I looked them up. This variety originated in Maine and was created by the USDA in 1932, at least according to the Canadians but can they be believed :? . The Canadians also say the sebago potato took Australia by storm - http://seasonalontariofood.blogspot.com/2011/01/sebago-potatoes.html - .

I also hadn't heard of Brown onions until I realized these are just what we call yellow onions.

Trout harvest 2011. Harvested 20+ trout today, ranging from 450gms to 650gms.

I think we had a good year this year.

Despite reading some bad experiences here with the PondOne O2Plus air pumps, I went ahead and purchase an O2Plus 8000 in mid September thinking that they are once-off issue. My ACO-005 died after about 2 years of operation. I think it is repairable, but I just don't have time to open it up...

Anyways, came home today to find the tanks not bubbling with air and the trouts swimming slowly near the surface. The PondOne pump was hot as hell and a knocking sound from the inside. That's after about slightly over 1 month of use, and the heat of summer is still just on its way. Luckily I have an smaller ACO that I use as a backup that is probably also 2 years old...

I have contacted the retailer and the distributor for their opinion, and at the same time, purchase another ACO just tonight. Anyone want who wants to buy a PondOne O2 Plus, just spend the money on drinks or a fancy dinner, you will be more happy that you have done that compared to buying the PondOne piece of crap...

Hi Ivan

Hope nothing too drastic or damaging.

I'll throw out the obligatory "not enough airstones" and "shouldnt be pumping to that depth" comments to get it over with.

I think the issue is that these pumps are made for UK environments.

Sucks after spending $200+ you can't trust the thing.

Mine is sitting under my desk as a paper weight now.
