I was out the back the other night taking the daily pictures of my system when I heard a conversation from over the fence..

There's new neighbours that have moved in next door and they've only been there for a couple of weeks and they were having a bit of a party and as always happens at a party there was at least one guy that had had quite a few drinks and he was being rather loud. Anyway, so there I was switching the cameras on and taking my pictures when I hear:

"And its even better than Hydroponics" in a drunken slurring voice..

"Coz you get to eat the fish as well"

"Man it's the future of growing food and stuff, the only way to go"


I have no idea how the conversation started, whether it was the new neighbours talking about what they had seen over the fence, or someone had seen my ute. Or just perhaps, and this is my favourite, perhaps there was just a random conversation at a suburban backyard party about aquaponics, and I just happened to be next door and walk out at the exact right time to hear it...

Just think... there could be a forum member reading this and thinking doh was that me

I did wonder about that...... Someone thinking, "I wasn't being that loud, surely.."

How about "What!! You mean I was just next door to the legend EB??"

Bugger, now they know where I live....

Watch out for long surf rods coming over the fence looking for those silvers
