Is it just me that finds all the celebrating a little disturbing?

I can't stand commenting this one.

Since the Roman Empire we know the question is not about what happened. Its about who benefits most about what happened.

"Cui prodest scelus, is fecit."
"The one who derives advantage from the crime is the one most likely to have committed it." Senaca 4 B.C. - 65 A.D.

So the questions are: Why now? Why headshot and why not capture? Whose intension? Who benefits?

I beleive its just an other media false flag operation, media hack, like the whole 911 story is. The answer behind could be forcoming elections next year. Obamas popularity is on the bottom. (Just check out how TV-s will come forward with his popularity increase in the next days...) This could be a start of a campaign fooling US people again, or may be more, price of gold is rising, most likely money feels war... :(

Deja I'm with you, I'm not used to celebrating someone's death. On balance though this person was way overdue for being taken out of this world. Someone who delights in the slaughter of innocents doesn't deserve to be with us here.

Still, seeing patriotic Americans celebrating death and burning pictures on the news is at least as disturbing to me as seeing Islamic extremists burning American flags..

It is therefore my firm belief that it is a mistake to hold firm beliefs.

This whole affair does not sit well with me. If the US involved Pakistan from the beginning it perhaps would not be as bad, but for America to think they have the right to invade another country's air space to assassinate a person, no matter how bad the person was, just brings the US down to the same level as the bad guys. If this operation ended the terror perhaps it was justified, but we all know this will not have any affect on terrorist activity, if anything it just gives the terrorists an excuse to up their efforts. This just revenge pure and simple!!

and...???

With all respect Curnow... Al Qaeda were glad to stick their hand up and take responsibility for 9-11 and a number of other terrorist atrocities that have killed thousands of innocent people... Osama Bin Lid was the founder and leader of Al Qaeda... I don't see the conundrum!

Mr Damage.

The reason Pakistan was not consulted for this operation was because there are a few individuals in places of power in the military or other who helped set up this refuge in the first place. Tell them you are going in to get him and you'll find him moved somewhere else. Their "sovereignty" has a few terrorist-sympathizing-and-hiding-shaped holes in it.

I agree with Dave on this. His death was overdue but yes the celebrating is a little disturbing.
