Got some fresh water cats to cycle the system and also caught lots of baby fish trying to get over a causeway, there were millions of them

Will be interested to see what they turn out being... Have you crushed up some feed and tried feeding them?

Yes, crushing flake fish food and they are eating it. I just want to know what they are now . How much is DNA testing?

Found some chewed up corn plants. Wouldn't be so bad if they only ate the leaves and left the stems alone. :upset:

I found some of them in GB the other night too. Things were getting eaten so went out with the torch. Found a few caterpillars and a couple of snails.

Ah yes cutworms. Usually only a problem early in the season - putting collars (old yogurt containers) around plants works well against these in my soil garden. Isn't it great that you can flood the beds and just feed them to the fish in AP - way more satisfying.

Just a word of warning to people thinking about using rocks in bath tubs and only supporting them from the thicker middle section on the bottom. The bottom thinner outside section is starting to bend down from the weight. This would not be a problem with hydroton. Now, I hope it gets to a point where it won't sag anymore and hope I don't come out oneday to find the sump full of rocks

Thanks Jorgy

Do you have any pics of an example? I assume you are talking about fibreglass baths?

No problem on mine yet but could reinforce.

Cheers

Bruce
