Yeah I know the highest mine has got is 20 so far, partly under ground so that helps.

Will test again in the morning and see how we go.

In case you are tempted, do not feed at all.

If your pump is running via timer, switch it to manual for 1-2 days to increase filtration and aeration.

Trout are very sensitive fishes, uneaten food or dead "buddies" could quickly make the others follow their "buddies"...

well I have got the pump on continueous flow, salted to 1 ppt, but still had more dead this morning.

Nothing in the bottom of the tank and did a water test this morning

Nitrite where still raised to .25 but everything else had returned to normal.

No Idea, just hoping the other in th tank will survive.

otherwise i won't have any fish for a while because of the current stocks around.

Unfortunately that's trout... stop feeding for a few days... by the way, how many fishes you have in total and how much growing media you have in total (volume)?

I have a 1200 litre tank, 500 l growbed and 6m of nft pipes with filters.

I only got 20 trout.

If they all go thinking about putting koi in there and yabbies in the bottom as it is the fruit and veggies that i'm more interested in.

the bottom on the tank is 1 m by 2.4m so there is plenty of space and maybe after the system has benn running for a year or so i'll put fish to grow out back in there.

forgot to ask, if I get down to only a couple of trout is it safe to put anything else in there or would they still be to dominant.

Your stocking level should be fine... just monitor your ammonia and nitrite levels every time you increase your feeding amount...

Depends on your definition of safe... safe for the trouts... most likely... other fishes, not so...
