Looking great. My tomatoes are down to one last plant and it will come out when the few fruit on it show colour. Great looking peppers and really nice sized trout :thumbright:

Getting some trout fingerlings next week and trying to decide if I should harvest remaining stock from last year and freeze or retain in FT and harvest as required. Is there such a thing as allowing trout to get to "BIG" :think: :headbang:

If you are not putting the new ones in the same tank let them grow but if you put new ones in the same tank they will get eaten

Have a spare location can either move the existing fish to the fingerling tank (about 700 litres). Then I can collect and place the fingerlings in the main tank. This would allow me to clean the main FT as well as add an overflow and another couple of modifications. :think:

Or I can leave the big fish where they are and put the new additions in the fingerling tank and move them to the main FT when large enough :dontknow:

Pic below of some lovely home grown produce. All home grown produce except the eggs however as I have found chickens up in GB :naughty: these could also qualify.

Went and got 60 trout fingerlings from Buxton on WEdnesday. All setled in well, eating and looking very comfortable. Got a new test kit as well and was surprised that nitrites were "0" ammonia, Nitrate & PH all OK :lol:

The new trout are doing well and a few of the bigger ones from last season will be served to guests (fresh from FT) for lunch next weekend. Served with AP salad, that should really impress them :headbang:

Finally the Eggplant has fruited and so I should have a few eggplants in coming weeks.

Hoping to do some digging and work towatds expanion in coming weeks. I have to make the time.

Lunch today was a couple of fresh baked trout. The smallest of the 3 caught was 672 grams with the largest at 1200grams. Servd to guests with an AP salad :headbang:
