Hi Desertrat, steal away, its not patented. Still not sure how I want to do the top, I would like to have a solid top, 2/3 solid secure and 1/3 solid hinged lid, but was thinking moisture build up and stale air underneath. I think i'll go 2/3 solid secure and 1/3 hinged with shadecloth. Anyones thoughts???????

Had some dramas getting my siphon to work because the pipework goes underground then back up to the sump, the bell kept wanting to float up because of the trapped air pocket, so i put a rock on it ,then the bed just kept filling till it overflowed . So made a little flap/reed type valve to release the air trapped in the bell.Works great :thumbleft: :thumbright: Had to put an up sidedown cap on top and sit a rock on it because the bell kept doing donuts inside the media gaurd. Sorry about picture quality.

Looks very good, Jorgy. Thought I did well at $20 for bath tubs but you've outdone me. I don't understand the advantage of a siphon over a simple overflow pipe with small holes at base for drainage. Mine work a treat and can be adjusted for flow rate.

BFB, I run my pump 24/7 , and didn't want that bed constant flood. I'm going to run the 2 bath tubs CF though.
