I was feeding 3 soupspoons per day and now 5, I will probably cut it back to 4 as I noticed a couple of uneaten pellets last night after feeding.
I probably wont mix fish again but will keep current mix until all eaten, providing no major disasters.

Yep, been warned of mixing trout with other fish.
or are you warning that I am not feeding enough :dontknow:
I have trout about 200mm and some pretty small bronze and speckled comets about 70mm and no losses yet (except 1 trout, not from eating other fish though). Had trout for about 2 weeks.
My FT is about 1700lt.

Looks like I have beat you all to stocking trout. :bootyshake:
FT has not been higher than 22 deg for past 3 weeks. Had trout for nearly 3 weeks now.
The sprinkler works well and when temps go up over Easter I will put back to continuous flow to activate shower bleed off main line to cool water. System covered by 25% shade cloth over GB and 90% shadecloth over FT. :-P

One of my SP died.(220mm long)
It seemed healthy enough and all water readings,
rites 0
Ph 6
Ammonia 0
Water temp 21 deg. at 5pm.
When I pulled it out it was kind of alive, put it back in tank and it just floated upside down.
The other concern I have is with my Brocolini and lettuce I planted them about a month ago. Nearly all of the lettuce have died and the brocolini has dead leaves.
I suspect it is the GB. My smaller GB is going really well. I planted basil out about 2 weeks ago, the ones in the small GB are powering along whereas the one I put in large GB has died.
It is actually only half of the large GB that is not going well. Everything I plant on that side does not gp well, The Tomatoe I planted over a month ago took off and is now dieing off, Is it the wrong time to be planting tomatoe?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Maybe the trout are beating the sp up? Also sun could be a factor on the gb problem :dontknow:

You could be right FB, I dont know what a beat up fish looks like though. It didnt seem to have any bite marks, but then it could have been stress :dontknow: .
Another factor may have been that I scrubbed bottem of FT about 1hr before fish died. Although I do this fairly regularly with no deaths in the past.
Another thought was the low PH may have been a factor in fish death. With my PH on 6 do I need to be careful of PH crash and what could I do to avoid this happening.

The not so good side of GB gets more sun than the rest of GB so your theory on that sounds pretty good. I will try more sun hardy plants in that area next time. Maybe some more chilli as that seems to be going well. I would have thought the tomatoe would be fine in full sun though.
Good spotting on the toe Jorgy :wave1:

Nudge your pH back a bit... either some EcoRose (Potassium BiCarbonate)... or some "slaked/hydrated lime" (Calcium Hydroxide)... also known as "brickies lime"...

About a tablespoon at a time... until you get back to about 6.4-6.6....

Thanks Rupe,
I will start tonight, I have some eco rose, bit more $ than brickies lime but better to act sooner I guess, do I just mix it up with some water and add to FT and stir around?

The Eco-rose worked well thanks Rupe.
My tank is about 1700lt and I put in 1 tablespoon. Brought PH from 6 to 6.4, I might put another half one in today to get to 6.6
Thanks again.

And there's the added advantage of giving the plants a Potassium boost...
