So no AP in the new house then? That sucks  :support:

Although I did like the gluing scoria idea or the garage idea

What about burying the ft with a deck over it and make the gbs look like normal raised garden beds??

Don't forget which box you packed the camera in. Need pics of the new place.
Luck to you and yourn.

Camera I've got....

USB cable....mmm

I had three boxes marked computer cables. (you can never have enough HDD ribbon and serial cables :) )

Now they are spread all over my hall floor.

None of them have anything I can plug into my camera.

That must mean something.

I sort my kitchen cupboards by the periodic table.... you know, plastic stuff there, metal stuff there, glass stuff there etc.

I have been feeling a bit lost of late. Perhaps I should be looking for the camera cable in a box marked "short white things". I might even find myself in there. boom boom tshh :D

mmm

actually there is a rainwater tank in the back yard running from the shed. its galv though. Perhaps it has a plastic liner

I'll work something out. Perhaps I'll just offer to run a system for the people next door or something. Pipe some water over the fence.

Where there's a will, there's a system.

I'll run it through the invention engine and see what po(o)ps out

I'm sure there is a neighbor on the other side of the fence that could be convinced into renting you a space just big enough to house the fish tank. Then pumping the water into your grow beds over the fence into your grow beds.

A small fee of fresh veggies and fish would do for payment, I would reckon.

Sort of like a CSA (community supported agriculture) farm like we have here in the US.

You'll get it sorted, good luck.

BTW, my renter is leaving to buy his own place. I have a house and some land for rent. Come on over.

Means I of three things
A you need a new camera
B you need new cables
C you need new glasses
:)

I honestly can't see what a harm a small Ibc system will do outside :dontknow:

:laughing3:

So here's what the engine spat out.

Real estate agent inspections look at everything but your car. The land agent can poke their nose into every room, shed, and built in robe they feel like looking into.... but your car is your business.... or any other car or van you care to own and park in the driveway..... even if it doesn't have a motor :)

see where this is going :)

The solution I've come up with, is to buy an old van and put the fish tank in it. Run some discrete plumbing into the ground, only to pop up a foot away in a barrel, that as far as anyone can tell, holds some nutrient rich water that feeds into my grow bed. The water is nutrient rich because I "add fish emulsion to it".

comments? anyone? anyone?

Not sure what temps there are like but here it would cook some fish in the summer, in a car with heat build up.

BW your subconcious is just not quite getting through :violent1: .

Ok, here's the deal, get a wheelie that looks like one of your regular garbage cans and set it next to some aquaponic planter beds that are wood with EPDM liners made so you can't see the liner. Build these into a stand that hides the piping. Fill the wheelie can up leaving about 4 inches for a fake garbage cover in case anybody looks. Use some flexible tubing so that you can pull the wheelie bin out from the wall if you need to check the plumbing. I'd use pvc pipe for the growbed and inside the wheelie. Include a ball valve inside the tank and a way to partially drain the tank. I'd also include a ball valve at the return from the growbeds. If you hear they are coming to check the property and you know when, partially drain the tank then close the ball valves. Then wheel it next door until the inspection is over, preferably to a friendly neighbor who lets you plug in your air pump (if you even have enough fish that you need one). Tuck the flex hose behind or under the growbed until they are gone - or keep it with the wheelie at the neighbors. A small durable bottom dwelling fish that blends with the color of the wheelie would be the obvious choice for this system, that way even if they find the "tank" they can't see the fish :) aka hydroponics.

If they come without letting you know in advance just unplug the power to the pump and stop water draining into the tank.

You could make this whole thing look like a potting bench complete with garbage can
