It's been a bad summer for SP breeders, I had a ring around a few days ago and nobody had any. One of the breeders told me that he'd heard Golden Ponds had flown some in from the East, but I didn't bother ringing, their everyday prices are normally much higher than other breeders, if they've flown them in and they've got the only supply... I'd hate to see what price they're asking.

The ones they brought in will not be large enough for sale until much later in the year.

There are people still selling SPs in WA - I just bought 150 for $1 each,

so the imports are not the only ones available and there's no price squeeze

i purchased 100 last week for golden ponds at $1.90 ea
i estimate that they only had about 300 left in the tank.

Nige ordered those fish some time back and im still trying to catch up on all my orders.
I'll be doing a big stock take on what fish stocks I have over easter. I will put up a post of what excess I have after Anzac day for those looking for fish.
