Cabbages and caulis have struggled... due to lack of nutrients... Silvers basically aren't eating...

Especially the tomato "wall" in the small system... which not only continues to produce new tomatoes... but ripen them constantly...

The 140+km/h winds that hit the Highlands the other week... literally "popped" the locking strips out of the front panels.. and roof line....

Couldn't get up to fix for about a week.... the roads were literally closed for 2-4 days... and there was just a series of weather/wind fronts that came through about 2 days apart...

Not perfect, and the roofline is taped....(ultimately it should be tracked and locked).... but you'd hardly know it was anything but new...

Wow. Looks like pretty minimal damage for the storm size. Are there precautions you can take (like vents that pop open with high pressure differences) or is it not worth it in the end? Was anything inside affected?

Hi Rup sorry to see the you have yet more work to do there mate. Just a little curious how does the wind turbine go in such high winds :dontknow: does it generate :bootyshake: loads more electricity or is it restricted somehow :think:

Yeah those winds were a nightmere... considering I was up in the mountains for 7 weeks.
Snow was just a part of the day :drunken: was part of the night :dontknow:

Wind turbines are designed to shut down in high winds. The last thing you want is a runaway condition. Then you'll end up with this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3FZtmlHwcA, which results in a two ton paperweight.
