Didn't weigh 'em, but they sound the same as yours, 16-20g

Be nice to get 'em to 350-600g by October

Will have to get back in to using the test kit over the next few days to make sure everything is settling in ticketyboo and that the GBs are coping OK.

They should be coping fine as I took out about 5kg of SPs and have put in only around 2kg of trout.

Yeah. I think my AP system will be fine, but I have to get the kit out anyway to keep an eye on the 250L aquarium in the shed that I have put the 50 little SPs (5-7cm) into, to over-winter them at 20°C.

I've got a new external cannister filter setup on it and haven't used one before so want to see how it performs. Hopefully it gets up to speed pretty fast as I've had the media sitting in the AP system the last few days.

Latest weather forecast for Perth says 34C on Saturday - those of us with trout already better start organising some ice for the weekend

Ha ha...... Lucky we didn;t get our trout yet. :)

Ran into a friend of yours here today CD, has a 2000L tank and a couple of beds, as well as some IBC stuff. He's expanding more, just bought another bed... :headbang:

I think we'll be alright 34°C is not overly threatening, just inconvenient. That might put my water up to 24°C, but that'd be the max. Only got up to 26-27°C when temps were hitting 40°C.

Good ! He just picked up 50 trout and 50 perch from me on Wednesday and I've been nagging him for months about more filtration.

Tank temp got to 24 yesterday which I didn't think was too bad as I was still pumping to the grow beds. I also had the tank cover off as I was tweaking it.

I also added some air yesterday.

The trout seemed ok and I even gave them their first light feed since their arrival.

Woke to the sound of (light) rain and went to check on them. Water temp is 22 and the trout are happily swimming around.
