1. Taking a screen shot. On your keyboard there is a key that has "Prt Scr" You press that button to take a picture of what you see on the monitor.

2. Open up paint on your computer. Hold down "Ctrl" then press V whilst still holding it down to "paste the picture to paint".

3. Now save the picture on to your computer (you may need to crop or cut down the pictures to only things you want people to see).

4. go to imageshack.us click browse and select your picture then click upload.

Well I haven't been able to do much the last week or so... We have been to buisy chasing our tails with this cold weather. Our water pipes froze completely. All 50+ foot of it... Even the stuff that was burried. Lowest temps this area has seen in 50 years! Didn't have time to deal with the frozen pipes because I was to buisy working on our turbines at work... Apparently they aren't set up for super cold temps either. Spent all day saturday getting water back at home. Needless to say I am glad the cold is gone!

I was able to do a little more work on the greenhouse frame today. As mentioned earlier, I am using reclaimed oak 2"x6" for the wooden portion of the frame. The good news is that they were free the bad news is that they are 4foot long. SO, I am going to be using alot of screws on this build! Hopefully I will be able to get the greenhouse finnished this week and can start on the AP setup next week. That might be wishful thinking but hey, It could happen!

I will try to get some pics up soon.

Well I haven't had time to post an update in a long while. I am stoked because I turned my system on tonight. It doesn't have any fish or plants in it yet... and the greenhouse is just a frame around the AP system... But the AP runs!!! I am exstatic!!! Hopefully we are going to transplant our plants tomorrow. I need to read up on the whole peeponics stuff until I can get my fish. I will post some pics in a minute. I am uploading them to my comp.

Ok... Here's the promised pics...
First is looking north from outside the soon to be greenhouse... Image

And a closer look from the South side... Image

Here's the ST. I partially buried it. Image

It is connected to all the partial tanks below the grow beds. I know that this is a large sump but I don't think you can have too large of a sump.

And here is the first fish tank. Image

My plan is duplicate this side onto the other side of the greenhouse... The sumps will both tie into the main partialy buried ST, which will probably have some Crayfish in it eventually. This will all be done after I actually get the greenhouse completed.

Great job, looks like you will have a good productive system in there. Plenty of volume. :thumbleft:

DecalsbyJT the bottom of the IBC's are just sumptanks... Just some extra water volume. Now I do plan on putting something into the sumptank that is half buried. Probably crayfish or fingerlings. I wish I could get my hands on some yabbies to put in there!

Freoboy the only bad thing about the truck is that it comes with a cell phone. And any time that phone rings, I have to drop what I am doing, and go work on a broken engine... :( Which really isn't that bad unless it is like like 2AM or something. Needless to say if I didn't get called out to work so much afterhours, I would have been done with my AP greenhouse a month or 2 ago.

I got the west wall put on after church today. It was just 3 sheets of treated plywood but because of the 40 mile an hour winds, it fought me the whole way! The wind is supposed to be bad tomorrow as well, but calm on tuesday and wednesday. So, I am going to try to get the East wall put on tomorrow and get plants in on tuesday. Maybe wednesday I can get the poly on.

Using those bottom tanks as additional sumps i recon you will get sediment buildup you will need to vac them off at a regular basis

Yeah they have a layer of sand in the bottom because the wind has been blowing so bad this week. Between the wind and work, I haven't been able to get anything else really done on it. Hopefully I will get some time this week to make some progress. Our plants are about to out grow thier current little seed starter. My wife wants to help get stuff done, but with an 8 month old little boy, she is hard pressed for extra time/energy.

Well, I haven't posted on here in a while... Mainly because I haven't done anything to further the completion of the ap setup or the greenhouse since my last few posts. I work in a 4 mechanic work group. We had one older mechanic who was fed up with the bosses and "retired effective immediately" and another who was "fired effective immediately" due to the inability to pass a random drug test. So the 2 of us that are still here are working our tails off. Lots of extra hours. :( Hopefully I will get some time to get some work done soon.
