Ok, I can't believe it, but I called the guy, and we're going to make a deal for the three 55 gallon tanks, I think one is a little larger than that.

And he is even going to deliver them!

I'm excited.

Ok, so I'm going to raise the fish for a while, and get some testing supplies for ammonia, ph, nitrites, and nitrates...I guess that's next purchase.

I will let you guys know when I have my fishies! He says the two tanks in the pictures are still for sale, which means fish and tanks together...that will be a stunt getting them upstairs here, but it will be fun!

later,

jeff c

Brando, you are gonna have to stop naming the fish, it makes them taste funny later on!

I've never worried much about tanks I get off craigslist. I wash em, make sure they hold water, and go.

One thing about posting craigslist and eBay postings is they expire, and so people reading a few days/weeks/months later can't see what the discussion was about... :D

Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from the guy, we had one conversation and then...? nothing

I called him back and left a voicemail, and nothing, and it's been over 24 hours now, so I'm going to give up for now.

I've decided to try the Small Aquaponics Barrel System from Paul Range, according to the PDF in the information section of this website.

I am confident that I will be able to build the system within a few months, and hopefully some of my friends or acquaintances will be able to help me complete it faster...or just they will be able to :)

I am fairly confident that with some of the help that I am going to start asking for, that I may get some aquaponic friends locally here soon too!

I will let you all know, what happens next.

Sincerely,

Jeff C

P.S. I think the small barrel system will work great in my living room!
