To be honest, I have made my tests at all hours, kind of a mother hen thing.

I think the consensus is just leave it alone and let it adjust itself. There is some algea, but that is becoming less and less as I add more plants. it seems to be going from a green to a brown color so I assume it is dying, and there seems to be no new growth.

The fish are doing great though and in the end I guess that is what matters most, and I am getting some sprouting from the seeds I planted on Monday this week.

Thanks for your input. It is much appreciated.

I am back from a nother quick trip to honduras for Christmas. While there, I bought some plywood to make two GBs. Each bed will be 680 liters and I will eventually grow two 4 of these. I hope to make the boxes of plywood and then put a plastic liner inside and hope for the best. Hopefully I can get a couple of years out of a system like this. We'll see.

I came home to find almost half of my fish water gone because the neighbors who looked in on the place, thought that the plants in the yard needed watering. Well, the plants were happy, the fish were not. I topped off nearly 250 liters of water and gave them some feed. They seem to be coming out of it just fine. I will post pics as the project comes together, hopefully this weekend.

The geyser pump annoys me. I can only move about 10 liters of water in an hour. I am ignoring it at the moment. Maybe Les will come up with a better design.

Fish need beer batter.
