Decided to rip out the slow cooker that we got given to us, and used only once and try my hand at some Potato & leek soup. has come up great, just cut up the potato's and some onions and 1 sweet potato, and put them in the cooker with 2 cups of chook stock, then fried up the leeks with some garlic & thyme. added it all to the cooker and left it for the day.

Just added 1 small tub of cream, some shaved parmesan and blended the whole lot up. its devine.

Also got a Pickled pork and veg on the stove, good eats at our place tonight :)

Egg Pie/Quiche thingy with Salad tonight :D

Puff Pastry in individual pie moulds... our own eggs... bacon and onion fried up then added, AP silverbeet shredded and sweated with fine diced garlic and lots of cracked black pepper then added, fetta cheese, AP parsley, and spring onion tops finely shredded then added... mix up then dump into moulds and chuck in oven till done...

... had it with a gorgeous salad with our AP lettuce and cucumber, plus some tommy toe toms and capsicum from my sisters veg patch just down the road as ours arent ready yet... served with a slight drizzle of ranch dressing

Tonight we have a Silverside and Pickled pork on the stove, with some local market veg!! might go see if i cant rob a few silverbeet leaves from the AP soon!!

Got the Silverside an Pork in the same pot;

1 Cup Balsamic viniger
2 TBSP Brown Sugar
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp peppercorns
2 cloves garlic
1 onion

The smell is making my tummy rumble like crazy.... the cloves and balsamic vinigar compliment eachother

I'll be having stir fry beef n veg, some veg from the shop, some from the garden.. Though snaking on some lovely King Island smoked cheddar at the moment..
