Nice tidy setup
In a display like that i would run mainely goldfish they look better and seeing they are in a public place they will have to contend with all sorts of things kids putting in stones sticks you will even get some di;'k head grown ups doing it to and if theres snale bate laying around or even nursery staff spraying
best to have that nice little display then lots of photos
just my thoughts

Been through most of this thought plan, luckily there are only 3 staff, and all have been told about spraying, they also try to keep things as natural as they feasibly can, they arent allowed to have snail bait around due to the risk of kids eating it. and yes kids have been throwing stones in it, pulling plants out, playing with the hydroton, and even had some Idiot pull my stainer out that was siliconed in, so it was replaced with a strainer that has an endcap glued too the bottom and all screwed through that. they have goldfish all around the place in tubs, water features and ponds, so i'll keep an eye on fish but if theres any deaths i will convert back to goldfish.

Kids down the road just brought me a bucket full of yabbies, Few big and bour 10 or so smaller ones, and one with eggs.

they found them in a hole in the creek down the road, so i'm detoxing them in some salt and plenty of oxygen, will change their water a few times before i put them in my sumps

had a big clean out over the last week, emptied main tank for Trout arrival, converted one of my sumps to be Constant height and SLO Drain, and iv put 12 110mm silvers in there caught them tonight up at the surface feeding on some green leaves i threw in and they were playing.

Pulled out my tomatoes to get the autumn crop in and they were just too messy and outta control, got a freezer draw full of tubs of tomato puree.

got plenty of Brocoli Seeds & seedlings in differnt stages, silverbeet, Betroot, Brussel sprouts and caulies.

Trout should be here friday :laughing3: :laughing3: :thumbright: :thumbleft:

20kg of feed in the freezer, bring on the trouties!!!!

Got another IBC coming too, truck driver who delivers stuff to work said he can get me one that has only been used for Crushed tomatoes, then rainwater he doesnt want it anymore so he is going to bring it up for me next week!!!

Fed them yesterday morning, they ravenged the food like hungry dogs....... levels thismorn were Ammo: 0 Nitrite: trace

i swear the Silverbeet grew 6 inches over night with the nitrate that is available :)

only going to feed once a day for a few more days until the system catches up.

Made a Venturi on a pump in the tank thats just swirling water around, the trout love playing in the stream

Will take some photos soon and post em up of the system
