Im setting up a AP system using a 200L barrel for the FT. Im thinking about stocking silver perch and a few yabbies in there.

The diameter of the tank is only 55cm. When fully grown the silver perch would be 25cm before harvesting. Would the lack of swimming room be too cruel to them?

Probably just enough for the GB. With a 1 barrel system its looking like 100L-200L of filtration meaning that it will only have 150L water in the barrel.

Looking to have about 3-6KG of fish in there on harvest.

Unfortunately for the system i want to build i need the FT to be standing so the GB sit on top.

I had a small system similar to that and to be honest the SP didn't grow much. I had 6/7 fingerlings in the barrel for about a year and they hardly grew at all :(

Any small systems I build now I stick to using goldfish :)
