I have a new 6 hour old iPhone 3gs and put simply - its great.

Once you jailbreak it (crack it) you can run any software you want :)

BYAP works great on it so far for browsing, have not posted with it yet.

OB, yeah BYAP works ok on it... try using eBay or Facebook, then download the apps and use them. Voilla you will suddenly be dissatisfied browsing BYAP with safari ;-)
It need not be jailbroken to be great. Jailbreaking's really for ppl who want the hardware to do things it was not designed for. Mainly Linux heads and tech types, but hey if you want to... just beware I think it voids your warranty

I agree that the ebay and facebook apps crap all over safari.

*OBO goes looking for better iphone browser software.....*

I browse this and a cycling forum on my ipod using tapatalk. The app is free - which is always my preferred option :)

I am always checking the BYAP forum from my iPhone.

I use Safari via Telstra 3G - even when I am home otherwise I am competing with too many devices for Internet bandwidth.

Posting is a little hard as the keyboard takes up much of the screen realestate. I haven't checked out applications such as taptalk.

It would be nice to be able to upload photos direct from the iPhone.

I use an iPhone with safari and have no issues.

I just turn the phone on it's side and one touch to the text part of the thread I'm reading and it scales up to fill the screen. Couldn't be easier

If I want to upload a photo I use tapatalk, but this is rare as I usually wait till I'm at home.

That's only in Tapatalk.

You can still watch them using Safari.
